Christy grew up in El Paso, Texas (the wild, wild, WILD West.) There, her father, David tossed books at her for every occasion. At the time it was quite frowned upon by the little tot who really just wanted toys and chocolate. But that was what she was given, so she read them. More than read them though, she studied the pictures and daydreamed. As a professional doodler, she thought, I want to do this when I grow up.

Many moons, many, many, MANY moons later, she met her soul mate (also known as the left side of her brain). Together they traveled and had great joy in life. They finally settled down and started a family. They had two amazing, wonderful, smart, adorable, perfectly behaved (ask anyone) children Sam and Max. (They really are when they're sleeping.) During the waking hours they are lovingly referred to as Thing 1 and Thing 2. After all these years, Christy now finds herself tossing books to her two crazy monkeys for all occasions and she still studies the pictures and daydreams.

Christy is currently working on a picture book series with the kind and beautiful AND wonderfully odd author Dianna Aston. They enjoy discussing warthogs so much, they made them the main characters.
